Interserve Security are recruiting full time Security Officer to join their security team deployed at their prestigious client site – law firm based in centre of Sheffield.

Pay Rate: £9.49
Contract type: Permanent – full time
Hours: average of 42 per week
4 on 4 off shift pattern, days and nights, 09.00 – 19.00 and 19.00 – 07.00

Ability to receive free onsite training for further qualifications, this is in the format of an apprenticeship that you complete alongside your regular shifts.

Job Purpose:

Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Provide a front line meet and greet service as the first point of contact for visitors to site.

Main Duties:

Meet and greet visitors and clients by providing a five star welcome
Signing in visitors according to security procedures and processes
To announce visitors to client reception as appropriate in line with the process and policies
To assist visitors and clients with queries in a friendly, knowledgeable and professional manner
To prevent unauthorised removal of company assets, in particular IT equipment.
To answer telephones and deal with general enquiries
To book visitors in and contact their host out of hours
To co-ordinate taxi bookings as required
To ensure that out of hours visitors to site are not permitted to enter the premises unless their host or a representative of the host accompanies them
To maintain excellent customer care and front of house standards at all times
To forward all requests for images to the Security Manager
To ensure any queries in the first instance are referred to the Security Manager/Facilities Manager
To ensure when conducting building patrol the list of Health and Safety points is adhered to at all times.
Conduct a thorough check of all vulnerable points of the perimeter of the floors and building. Ensure all exits are secure and no risks are present.

Person Specification:

Proven working knowledge of customer service experience
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Highly service focused with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Highly organised. Able to plan and prioritise the work of self and others.
The ability to listen, question and interpret information to understand requirements.
Numerical and verbal reasoning
Good interpersonal skills, flexible to work with a range of styles and personalities
Excellent verbal communication skills
Must be IT literate
Problem solving skills
Ability to maintain standards when under pressure.
Able to building strong relationships with key stakeholder

Experience and Qualifications:

Highly service focused with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Highly organised.
Able to plan and prioritise the work of self and others.
SIA Licence
Experience of Customer Service &/or Reception area’s
